BIOGRAPHY
 

DAMIR FABIJANIC was born in 1955 in Zagreb, Croatia. Freelance photographer since 1987, initially specializing in architecture and landscape photography. Works for institutions, magazines, catalogues and books. During the war in Croatia (since December 1991) he photographed the destroyed cultural heritage in Croatia, especially the city of Dubrovnik and its surroundings. The photographic material on this theme has been published in the book "DUBROVNIK...". The exhibition with the same name, and his other exhibitions are still on show around the world. 1992 participates in official programme of XXIII Les Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie, in Arles. Main photographer and editor of photography in CROATIA AIRLINES in flight magazine and ORIS architectural magazine. Member of the author's winning group for the national contest for EXPO 2005 Japan

- DUBROVNIK… (author of photographic exhibition and monograph). During the war in Croatia (since December 1991) he has been photographing destroyed cultural heritage in Croatia, especially the city of Dubrovnik and its surroundings. The exhibition in Paris (September 1993) was announced “exhibition of the week” (among 59 participating in PARISCOOPE). The book was selected amongst "the most beautiful books of the world" - by publisher "Marval", Paris, autumn 1993.
